InfoToday announces the release of a FREE trial version of the InfoToday Data Server for Visual Promatrix (ITDS). InfoToday has extended it’s ITDS (FoxPro data server) to support the Promatrix Framework. Hence, this COM plug-in will allow you to read and write data into your Promatrix application. The really good bit though is that it will let you provide a standard COM interface for your application to other software developers and hence widely extend the marketability of your product.The ITDS is constructed as a business object and hence facilitates very simple code to integrate it into other applications that want to talk to your software.
What does this trial version do?
This trial version is in effect a pre release of the final version. Hence it does not yet support all of the Promatrix features. The final version however will incorporate almost complete functionality.
What does this mean to you?
This means that you can allow applications such as WEB sites, CRM packages, or in fact any other windows package that supports COM, to access the data in your Visual Promatrix application.
Visual Promatrix Validation
The ITDS (trial version) supports most, but not all VPM validation configured in the data dictionary. This trial version is intended as a way for you to see how easy it is to use and to allow you to give feedback to InfoToday on it's use with your software.
