Application Settings

Once installed you need to check the application settings. To do this you need to start the ITRDS (or ITRAS) client and select "Application" from the "Tools" menu. Once you have done that the following screen should appear

General

Log HTTP Message Content
By setting this to true the entire soap call sent to the server and back is recorded in the HTTPLOG table. If false just simple details are recorded. Setting this on will cause the HTTPLOG table to grow quickly in size. Only use this during debugging

Enforce Logon
Having this on will mean that every command that comes through from remote or local clients must pass with it a user name and password which matches one that you have setup through the user node.

Enable Data View
Having this on will mean that when you right click on a system you will get the option to open it through the new data view

Use ZLIB Compression
Having this on will both send data compressed and tell the server to return data compressed.

Paths

Set the Path
You need to make sure the path displayed in this screen is set to the Install path of the ITDS (it should be correct unless you did not pick the default install path)

Query Project Path
If you are going to build DLLS for use with Crystal Reports this must be pointing to the ITQUERIES folder which contains the ITQUERIES project. This is usually installed with the product to a folder under the install folder

Set the Error Handling

Set the file and file type you want.

We recommend XML for easier viewing. We also recommend to leave full details off as it produces large files. This flag turns on the recording of Call Stack and Environment information.
